So the finished bowl is my firsr bowl and the not finished bowl was the beautiful one someone else broke in the kiln. (It was perfect and bigger than the first one). With the second bowl and the first one I learned that you can't use the rib tool too much or else it will get to thin and look bad. You have to use the rib tool first then your hands to stretch it out a bit further. These bowls were not as wide as I wanted but it would have been to thin to make them any wider.
These have an art element of form because it is a basic bowl form of half a sphere. This means it needed some less basic glaze which I also would have done with the second one.
This gives it a design element of emphasis on the inside with the dark blue on the white with the splatter. It has a fun feel to it because of this.
